Obituary

Dino G. Pansire, Jr., 74, passed peacefully on October 7, 2010, in Cincinnati, OH after a long illness. Born in Framingham the son of the late Dino G. and Fernandy (Nardini) Pansire. Dino, known as Sonny to his family, graduated from St. Patrick's School, Natick; Our Lady's High School, Newton, Class of 1954; and Parks College, University of St. Louis, MO, Class of 1957. He is a member of Phi Alpha Chi Fraternity. Dino served his country as a lieutenant in the Air Force, serving from 1957 - 1960. He was an accomplished formation pilot. Dino was employed as an engineer, which included working for; Cessna Aircraft, Halliburton Oil, Raytheon, and General Electric (later as an executive). He was an inventor holding several patents. An avid non-fiction reader, he utilized the New York City and Cincinnati public libraries well and enjoyed NYC opera and Broadway performances. Growing up, Sonny was a good big brother and as a man; a wonderful father. He will be remembered for his dedication to education and his passion for discovery and exploration. Dino was the father of Dean (DGP III), his fiancé Beth Ann Pummell, of Bethel, OH; Debra Pansire of FL; Diane Pansire of Cape Cod, her partner Deer Sullivan; and Denise Coleman of Washington, NJ, her husband Dale Coleman; grandfather of Kandace Pansire of Los Angeles, CA and Deanie (DGP IV) of Loveland, OH; and a great grandfather. "Adopted" father of Kathy Ludlum and family of Bradenton, FL, and Hinda Molder and family of Philadelphia, PA. He was the brother of William A. Pansire, his wife Carol A. Pansire of Sandwich; Richard L. Pansire, his wife Michelle L. Pansire of Natick; and Linda E. Pansire of Ashland. He is predeceased by his former wife Sally Elizabeth Hedrick Pansire and survived by former wife Novlet Delmata Pansire of Bronx, NY. He was fiancé of the late Rosa Parks of Fairborn, OH. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 6th at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland followed by burial in St. Tarcisius Cemetery in Framingham. Dino's family requests that donations in his memory be made to either American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
