David Paul Smith, 60, formerly of Ashland and Waltham, passed away, Mon. Jan. 5th at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. Born in Waltham, he was the son of the late Sydney and Maybelle (Collins) Smith. David was raised in Waltham and graduated from Waltham High School Class of 1967. He was employed with the Boston VA Medical Center for 35 years. He was an avid fisherman. Mr. Smith is survived by two daughters: Melissa Smith and her husband Lee Leonard of Asheville, NC; and Laura Smith of Ashland.
