David A. Pimentel, 54 of Brockton, passed away November 25th in Brockton. He was the husband of Julia (Holtzclaw) Pimentel. Born in Framingham, he was the son of Barbara Pimentel and the late Joseph Pimentel of Ashland. He attended Ashland High School,graduating with the Class of 1975. After high school David attended Framingham State College where he received his BS degree. He then went on to Boston College and received his MSW and MBA degrees. For over 35 years he worked as a social worker in the field of Human Services. In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by four step-sons: John Higgins of Fairmount, IN; Patrick Higgins of Bastarop, TX; Kevan Ward of Queencreek, AZ; and Jourdan Saint-Yves of Peoria, AZ; three step-daughters: Katharine Osmundson of Gilbert, AZ; Darcy McKinney of Peoria, AZ; and Adrianne Ward of Peoria, AZ; twelve grandchildren; one brother: Joseph Pimentel of Middleboro, MA; and one sister: Donna Roy of Uxbridge, MA; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St., Ashland at 11:00am with interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 5-7pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations made be made in his memory to a homeless shelter or food pantry in your area.
