David W. Fiscus 55 of Ashland, formerly of Lynnfield passed away unexpectedly on April 23rd after being stricken at home. He was the son to the late Willard Fiscus and Jean Fiscus of Lynnfield. He was the husband of 28 years to Florence Downing-Fiscus and the father of Lauren Fiscus, both of Ashland. David grew up in Lynnfield, MA and was a 1977 Graduate of Lynnfield High. He then went on to Northeastern University graduating in 1982. Dave was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and ski mobiling. His passion was to spend as much time as possible at the family home in West Chatham, MA. He was happiest on the water and spent many hours each summer clamming with his wife and daughter off Monomoy Island. David is survived by his mother, Jean Fiscus of Lynnfield, mother-in-law, Florence M. Downing of Roslindale, one brother; Dan Fiscus and his wife Gretchen of Lynnfield, sisters; Deb Jacobson and her husband Andy of Ipswich, and Donna Martinson and her husband Brad of Harwich, four brother-in-laws; Charles Downing of Roslindale, Dave Downing and his wife Janet of Plainville, John Downing Jr. of Rhode Island, and James Downing and his wife Dawn of Florida, one sister-in-law; Sue Falconer and her husband Bob of North Attleboro. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews; David, Tamra, Keri, John, Michelle, Stephanie, Mark, Connor, Riley, Vita, Kamryn, Danny and Delaney and his great nieces and nephews; Lexi, Colby, Abigail, Sophia, Shane, and Samantha. A Funeral Mass will be said on Monday morning, April 28th in St. Cecilia's Church Esty St. Ashland at 9:00am. Calling hours will be held on Sunday afternoon in the Matarese Funeral Home 325 Main St. Ashland from 4-6pm.
