David L. Clark, 78, of Ashland, died peacefully Sunday, July 22, 2007, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Jennie (Gallo) Clark for 57 years. Born in Norwood, the son of the late Lewis and Eva (Hinchcliffe) Clark, he was a graduate of Medfield High School and Northeastern University, where he received a degree in mechanical engineering. Mr. Clark was retired from Waters and Millipore Corp. of Milford, where he worked as a mechanical engineer. Besides his wife, he leaves three children, David Clark and his wife, Carole, of Portsmouth, R.I., Debora Conrad and her husband, Mark, of Norfolk, and Janine Banks and her husband, Keith, of Millville; two sisters, Helen Fisher and her husband, Charles, and Verna Thayer; one brother-in-law, Joseph Dubin; and he was the cherished grampy of Bryanna, Matthew, and Keith Banks, Emily Conrad and Shawn Tuttle and her husband, Matt. He was the brother of the late Brenda Clark Dubin. The funeral service will be private. A visiting hour will be held Wednesday, July 25, from 2 to 3 p.m., at the Matarese Funeral Home (www.mataresefuneral.com), 325 Main St., in Ashland.
