Obituary

Baker, David Earl Hopkinton David -Butch- Baker, 69, of Hopkinton passed away unexpectedly Tuesday Feb. 5th. He was the husband of Janet (Buttler) Baker. Butch was employed as a heavy equipment operator for PJ Maffei Building Wrecking in Ashland for many years. Mr. Baker served his country honorably with the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion James O'Carey Post 2331 in Ashland. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters; Melissa Baker of Framingham and Jennifer Baker-Canning of Milford; one son; Scott Baker of Attleborough; two brothers; Robert Baker of Concord, NH; and Hallett S Baker Jr. of Holliston; twelve grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Thursday Feb. 14th at 11:00am in Christ Lutheran Church, 113 Union St. in Natick followed by urn burial in Glenwood Cemetery in Natick. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
