Daniel J. Morazzini, 77, died Thursday April 19th at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham after a short illness. Mr. Morazzini was born in Southboro and was the son of the late Antonio and Bertha (Giombetti) Morazzini Sr. He lived in Athol for many years until the death of his wife Marjorie (White) Morazzini. He then moved back to Ashland more than 15 years ago. Mr. Morazzini served his country honorably in the United States Army. After his service in the army, he was a Steeple Jack for many years. In his spare time Mr. Morazzini loved fishing and working outside doing landscaping. Mr. Morazzini is survived by one brother, Antonio Morazzini Jr. and his wife Catherine, of Ashland; one sister Imperia Pacific of Marlboro; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Velma Lake, and Mary Hunt, both of Ashland. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 26th at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, (www.mataresefuneral.com) 325 Main Street in Ashland. One calling hour will be held Thursday morning before the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be private in Athol.
