Obituary

Cynthia (Cook) Winterhalter, 95, longtime resident of Ashland passed away Saturday Dec. 20th after a period of declining health.  Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Gladys (Miller) Cook.  Cynthia was the loving wife of Robert P. Winterhalter who died in 2010.  Cynthia, along with her husband, owned and operated Big W Trans, Inc., a school, charter and transit bus service in Ashland and surrounding towns.  She was a long-time supporting member of the Federated Church of Ashland as well as an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Cynthia is survived by her brother in law, David. L. Winterhalter (Suzanne) and sister-in-law, Kittie Winterhalter (Alan), all of North Carolina, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Memorial service will be celebrated at the Federated Church of Ashland, 118 Main Street, Ashland MA 01721 on Saturday January 24th at 11:00 AM  There are no visiting hours.

Donations in Cynthia's memory may be made to the Federated Church of Ashland General Fund.
