Obituary

Cynthia (Hagspiel) Schube, 79, sadly passed Mon. Dec. 31st at home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with dementia. She was the wife of her loving devoted husband Fred Schube of Ashland.  One of eleven children, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Frances Hagspiel.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Tommy Schube and his wife Denise, Mike Schube and his wife Linda, and Linda Schube- Hanna, eight grandchildren, Lisa, Chris, Leanne, Tyler, Rachel, Peter, Jason, and Eric, and six great-grandchildren, Cole, Addilynn, Olivia, Madison, Anderson, and Jameson, and her siblings, Tommy and his wife Anita, Dick and his wife Sharon, Gail, Linda and her husband Joe, and she was pre-deceased by her sisters, Barbara, Judy, Sandy, Maureen, Geraldine, and her brother Steve.

Cynthia worked as a hairdresser in the Framingham area for many years and worked with the Framingham Schools lunch program. She was an avid golfer winning many women's golf tournaments, bowled, and was a great cook.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday Jan. 4 th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. Ashland, MA with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.  Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA  01721.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Cynthia's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
