Cynthia (Swanson) Howell of Clinton formerly of Ashland passed away Monday June 5th after a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Howell was the wife of Gary Howell who passed away in 2004. Mrs. Howell graduated from Gardiner High School in Gardiner, ME in 1967. In 1969 she graduated from the Radiology Technologist Program at Seton Hospital in Waterville, ME. She worked as a Radiology Technologist at Marlborough for 19 years. Mrs. Howell was born in Minneapolis, MN and was the daughter of Constance (Graham) Swanson and the late Harold Swanson. Besides her mother she is survived by two daughters, Kimberly and Erika Howell both of Hudson; one son, Gary Howell of Clinton; two sisters, Elizabeth Pelletier of Glendale, AZ, Vicki Swanson of South China, ME; and seven grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be celebrated Saturday June 10th, at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, (www.mataresefuneral.com), 325 Main Street, Ashland, MA 01721. Interment will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5-8:00 PM.
