Christine A Saunders, age 94, died at the Whitcomb House in Milford, MA on January 15, 2019.
She was born on September 20, 1924 in Milford, MA, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Assunta Gattozzi. She was married to Albert Lyman Saunders who died in 1993. She and her husband both worked for many years at Telechron in Ashland, MA before retiring to Hampton Beach, NH. In August 2016 she moved to the Whitcomb House in Milford, MA. She was predeceased by her brothers Paul, Alfred, Dominic, John, Bernard, and Arthur and her sisters Josephine (Guglielmi), Caroline (Verrelli) and Angelina (DiCenzo). She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tue. Jan. 22 ^nd at 9:00am in St Cecilia Church, 54 Esty St, Ashland, MA with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.   A visitation hour will be held Tue. from 8:00-8:45am prior to the Mass at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St, Ashland, MA.
Memorial contributions to the Marist Missions are welcome in honor of her brother-in-law, Father Ronald Saunders, who was a Marist priest. Gifts should be sent to Marist Fathers of Boston, 698 Beacon Street. Boston, MA 02215. Checks should be made out to Marist Missions.
