Charles Paul Manganaro, 93, of Hickory, North Carolina, formerly of Ashland, passed away on Saturday, December 17th at his residence.  He was born March 8, 1923 in Suffolk County to the late Peter and Carmela LaFauci Manganaro.  Charles was a member of Saint Cecilia's Parish in Ashland, the American Legion and was a United States Navy veteran.

Charles is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jane Marie Mackenzie of Hickory; his sons, Charles Manganaro, Peter Manganaro, Jon Manganaro, Michael Manganaro; daughters, Linda Manganaro and Susan DiCasolo; brothers, Salvatore Manganaro and Eugene Manganaro; sisters, Gina Johnston, Lena Poole Keller, and Theresa Kelly; grandchildren, Chuck, Laurie, Katherine, Mark, Andre, Molly, Vincent, Sophia Manganaro and Samantha Cone; great-grandchildren, Noah Joseph, Olivia Monet, and Malcom Gibbs.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at  9:00 AM at Saint Cecilia's Church, Esty Street, Ashland.  Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.  Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 5-7 PM at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Cecilia's Parish, 54 Esty Street, Ashland, MA  01721 or MetroWest YMCA, 280 Old Connecticut Path, Framingham, MA  01701.
