Obituary

Charles "Chip" Leeds, 61, of Bellingham passed away Tuesday, Sept 25th after a long battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Karen (Walker) Leeds for 41 years. Born in Cleveland, OH; Chip was a resident of Bellingham for 36 years. He was active with Bellingham youth basketball and served as an IAABO basketball referee. Mr. Leeds owned and operated Reklaw Machine Inc. in Holliston. He was an avid fisherman and member of the Tri Valley Bass Masters. Chip was a caring friend to many and will be deeply missed. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Michael Alan Leeds and his wife Karen of Whitinsville; two grandchildren, Dylan and Ryan; sister, Diane Leeds of Oak Harbor, WA; and his dog, Cooper. He was the father of the late Matthew Ryan Leeds who died in 2011. A funeral service will be held Monday at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4:00-8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Newton-Wellesley Hospital Charitable Foundation - Vernon Cancer Center, 2014 Washington Street, Newton, MA 02462.
