Charlie J Featherstone, 53, of Ashland, passed early Thursday, November 29, 2007 at home surrounded by his loving family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. Charlie was a life-long and active resident of Ashland and was well known throughout the community. He was the owner of C.J. Featherstone Plumbing & Heating and served as the Plumbing and Heating Inspector for both Ashland and Hopkinton for over ten years. He was a graduate of the class of 1973 from Ashland High School and soon after became one of the youngest in history to earn his Masters License in Plumbing from the state. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Family and friends remember his notorious quick wit and his ability to bring a sense of humor to every situation. He always enjoyed being with family and never passed up an opportunity to travel in his R.V., be it across the country or just for a Sunday ride. He leaves his wife, Cindy Most Featherstone, with whom he would have celebrated their 20' wedding anniversary next April, and two sons; Regan and Tom; his mother, Helen McClean Featherstone; sister, Cheryl Merryman and husband John; sister Barbara Paulson; sister Jean Correia and husband Roger; brother Dennis Featherstone and wife Donna; brother Robert Featherstone and wife Dawn; sister Mary Gassett and husband John; brother Shaun Featherstone and wife Lynn; brother Timothy Featherstone and wife Patti; brother Thomas Featherstone and wife Susan; best friend (like a brother) Dick Langmeyer and wife Sandy, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, Dec. 3rd at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland followed by burial in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.
