Charlene A. Golub, 71, of Ashland, passed away on Thursday, June 4th, at her home after living many years with the symptoms of a rare neurological disorder, HSAN1E. Born in Rochester, NY, on April 3, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Irene (Rupprecht) Kara, and the beloved wife of Michael Golub for 46 years. Charlene was raised in Webster, NY, graduating from RL Thomas High School. She received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Bucknell University and her master's degree in social work from Boston College. Charlene held various positions as a social worker at hospitals, a military base, a hospice, a medical clinic, a high school, and a mental health counseling facility. She enjoyed creating pottery and regularly attended pottery sessions at the Hopkinton Senior Center for many years.

Charlene is survived by her husband, Michael Golub, of Ashland, and her son, Barton Golub, of San Francisco, CA.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 10th, from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA. The funeral and burial service will be private.
