Cecilia Ann Becker, 100, a former longtime resident of Ashland, passed away on Friday, October 16. Born in Goodhue, MN, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (McNamara) Gorman. Cecilia was the beloved wife of the late Robert L. Becker who died in 1994. She was a devout member of St. Cecilia Parish in Ashland, MA and worked for many years as a secretary at Wellesley College and Framingham State College.

Cecilia is survived by her daughter Teresa Martinez and her husband David of Providence, RI; her son-in-law Gib Gailius of Milton, MA; her daughter-in-law Dawn Becker of Lutz, FL; and her son Fr. Daniel Becker of the Diocese of Worcester. She was a loving grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Sheila Gailius and her son Edward Becker.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 22, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Parish, 54 Esty Street, Ashland, MA, followed by burial at Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Visiting hours will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m prior to the Mass at Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland, MA.
