Catherine Moran Sweeney, strong loving mother, quietly passed away on May 15, 2014. Kay was a woman who had a positive effect on the lives of all those she loved and befriended through her 94 years. She was a person who inspired love and trust with a personality full of laughter and fun. Kay loved buying and selling antique jewelry and was always looking for a find. Catherine will be greatly missed by her seven children, James Sweeney, Peter Sweeney, Catherine McCool, Paul Sweeney, Christine Pepin, Timothy Sweeney and Maryjane McEwen, her daughters' and sons' in law Susanne Sweeney, Mary Jane Sweeney, Debra Sweeney, Jerome Pepin and Jim McEwen, 12 grandchildren Tim, Jim, Pete, Daryn, Brian, Phil, Joe, Julianne, Lesley, Vanessa, Samantha, and Devin and 11 great grandchildren, her brother Richard Moran and sister Christine Moran Cook. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband "Joe" and has missed him very much. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, May 19th at 10:00am in St. Patrick's Manor, 863 Central Street, Framingham.
