Catherine "Kay" Dowd 69 of Franingham,formerly of Charlestown, passed away July 26th at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late James and Florence (Davidson) Dowd and she had lived in Framingham over 35 years and was formerly of Charlestown. She was a graduate of St. John's Evangelistic High School Class of 1957. She is survived by one son: Robert Dowd and his wife Shanon of Davie,FL. Two brothers: James Dowd and his wife Catherine of TX. John Dowd and his wife Maureen of FL. Two sisters: Marie Hughes and her husband Arthur of S.D. and Joan Lloyd and her husband Richard of Ashland. Three grandchildren: Devyn and Toby Regueira and Lace Dowd. Several Nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late William Dowd,Carol Gill, and Joseph Russo. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home 325 Main St. Ashland on Thursday evening at 7:00pm with calling hours on Thursday evening from 4:00pm to service time.
