Obituary

Carol C. Temple, 70, of Ashland, passed away, Wednesday, May 30th, after a long illness. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Lillian (Countway) White. She was the wife of the late Donald C. Temple Sr, who died in 1997. Carol attended Brookline Schools graduating in 1954 and attended Secretarial Training School graduating in 1955. A resident of Ashland since 1961, she was employed as a secretary for Cushing Hospital in Framingham from 1981 to 1989 and later at MCI Framingham from 1989 to 1993. Mrs. Temple was an active member of the Federated Church of Ashland; serving on the Board of Deacons, Hospitality Committee, Christian Education Committee, and Properties Committee. She enjoyed camping, needlework, and sewing and was a past member of the Ashland Lions Club. She is survived by four children: Donald C Temple and his wife Jandira of Ashland; Sharon C. Burkhardt and her husband Christopher of Holliston; Susan C. Noyes and her husband William of Mendon; and Dean C. Temple and his wife Doborah of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren: Melyssa, William, and Casey Noyes; Allison Burkhardt, and Lauren and Alyse Temple; and many cousins, but especially one dear cousin, Celeste Lawler. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 1st at 11:30am in the Federated Church of Ashland, 118 Main St. in Ashland with burial to follow in Dell Park Cemetery in Natick. There are no calling hours.
