Carol Ann Cassidy, 77, longtime resident of Ashland passed away Friday Nov. 14, 2025.  Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Anna (Carey) Needham.  Carol was the loving wife of Michael Cassidy who died in 2019.  She worked as an apartment manager for Churchhill Forge Properties as well as the Ashland Housing Authority.  Carol was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 77 in Ashland.

Carol is survived by one daughter, Christine Almeida of Framingham, niece, Julie Butler of Sturbridge, nephew David Needham of Worcester, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and her beloved cats.

In addition to her husband Michael, she was pre-deceased by her daughter Gina McLaughlin, brother Paul Austin Needham, and grandson Jeffrey Smith Jr.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday Nov. 29th at 11:00am in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. Ashland, MA with urn burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.  There are no visiting hours.

In lieu of flowers donations in Carol's memory may be made to the American Legion Boys and Girls State Foundation to sponsor an Ashland High School student scholarship.
