Carmelita "Mita" H. Galiguis, 67, of Ashland passed away Friday, July 25th. She was born to Agripino & Pudenciana Hernandez (deceased) in Santa Rita, Pampanga, Philippines, and moved to the US in 1972. She was the wife of Francisco Galiguis Jr. Mrs. Galiguis worked in Medical Records for Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. She was a member of the Iskwelahang Pilipino Caroling Group and enjoyed gardening and fishing. In addition to her husband; she is survived by two children; daughter Jayme Galiguis, her partner Mucka Smith and their two children Jayden and Jasmin Galiguis Smith of Homestead, FL; and son Jason Galiguis and his partner Matthew Thompson of New Orleans, LA; four brothers; Rustico Hernandez and his wife Gloria; Arnulfo Hernandez and his wife Meris; Albert Hernandez; and Noel Hernandez and his wife Rowena; one sister; Erlinda Hernandez and her husband Pompeyo; three sisters-in-law; Chit Abriam and her husband Bert; Linda Galiguis; Rosalina Marias and her husband Rudy; one brother-in-law; Romy Galiguis and his wife Aida; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, July 28th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. in Ashland.
