Brendan D. Petry, 16, of Ashland died Monday Feb. 27th in Ashland.  He was the beloved son of Donald and Maryanne (Filippone) Petry.  Brendan was a sophomore at Ashland High School where he was a passionate, hardworking athlete and member of the Varsity Soccer and Basketball teams.  He was also active with the Make-a-Wish Club, Spanish Club, and Theatre group.  Brendan attended St. Bridget School in Framingham through the eighth grade and was an alter server at St. Bridget Parish.     In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Donald and Ellen Petry of Orleans, MA, and his maternal grandmother, Joan Filippone of Ashland, MA.  He was much loved by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday March 3rd at 10:00am in St. Bridget Parish, 832 Worcester Rd. Framingham with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 3:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 4742 North 24th Street, Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016
