Brenda M. Whelan of Douglas, formerly of Natick, passed away Wed. Oct 4, 2017 surrounded by her family. Daughter of the late Francis and Angelina (Fiorvanti) Owens, she is survived by her husband Paul Whelan (Natick Police) and daughters Michelle Wills and her husband Chris of Douglas, Paula Whelan of Holliston, and 7 grandchildren, Daniel, Nicholas, Alanna, Caitlyn, Tyler, MiKayla and Samantha. She was the niece of Dorothy Cellucci and Richard Fiorvanti and the late Marie Nichol, Jean Hauptman, Francis, Joseph Henry, Rudy and Tony Fiorvanti.   She is survived by several cousins including Terry Hauptman and Mark Nichol.

Brenda was a licensed hairstylist in Framingham prior to becoming a homemaker, devoted wife, and loving mother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.

A memorial service will be held Sunday Oct. 8th at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA. One calling hour will be held Sunday from 12:00-2:00 PM prior to the service.
