Bernard H. "Barney" Dzindolet, 86, of Ashland passed May 23rd at home. He was the husband of Margaret "Peg" (Molloy) Dzindolet. A lifelong resident of Ashland, Barney attended Ashland Schools and was a graduate of Ashland High School, Class of 1943. He was employed with Commonwealth Gas Co. over 40 years,retiring in 1991. Mr. Dzindolet was a veteran of WWII, serving his country honorably in the United States Army. Barney was a lifelong communicant of St. Cecelia's Church in Ashland. In addition to his wife, he leaves seven children: Deborah Jessing of Los Angeles, CA; Ann Dzindolet of Whitinsville, MA; Stephen Dzindolet and his wife Patricia of Hopkinton, MA; Margaret Shaw of Fremont, CA; Anthony Dzindolet and his wife Rita Ann of Spencer, MA; David Dzindolet of Whitinsville, MA; and John Dzindolet of Ashland, MA; two sisters: Mary Riley and Edith Sage, both of Ashland, MA, and seven grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be said on Wednesday at 9:00 AM in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. in Ashland with interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.
