Barry G. Levine, 16 of Ashland, MA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 surrounded by those who loved him. Barry, the beloved son of Joanne Brountas Levine, was born in Boston, MA on October 19, 1998. He spent his life with a host of medical and physical challenges that he faced with resilience, grace and dignity. He taught his family and friends the true meaning of love. Barry was so fortunate to spend time at the Michael Lisnow Respite Center, Blocks Pre-school, Boston College Campus School and Seven Hills Pediatric Center, where so many people touched his life. Besides his mother, Barry is survived by his three loving sisters, Kristin Hohn and her wife Jennifer of Philadelphia, PA, Brooke Levine and Alexis Levine both of Ashland, MA. He is also survived by his uncles Mark Brountas and his wife Susan of Bangor, ME, Peter Brountas and Paul Brountas both of Portland, ME. Barry will also be missed by his nephew William Hohn and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Barry's family wishes to thank the many doctors at Boston Children's Hospital, the doctors and nurses in the ICP at Boston Children's Hospital, the PACT team and Dr. Julie Hauer and the staff at Seven Hills Pediatric Center for the extraordinary care Barry received over the years. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, 1PM-4PM at Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland, MA.
