Barbara L. Pimentel, 86, of Ashland passed away Sat. Aug. 20th. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of Thomas and Eleanor (Eldredge) Shaw. Barbara worked for Sharon Bolt & Screw for many years and was a longtime volunteer at Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. She was a member of the Ashland V.F.W. Post 2331.

She is survived by two children; Joseph Pimentel Jr. and his wife Claire Welch of Middleboro; and Donna Roy and her husband Normand of Uxbridge; daughter-in-law; Julia Pimentel of Brockton; six grandchildren; Michele, Jeremy, Kristen, Joe III, Denise, and Ryan; six great-grandchildren; Abbigayle, Ryley, Samantha, Zachery, Maxwell, and Callie; and two brothers; John and Arnold Shaw. She was the mother of the late David Pimentel and sister to the late Francis, Eugene, and Ralph Shaw.

A funeral service will be held Thursday Aug. 25th at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home.
