Barbara E Frank, 89 of Ashland passed away Thursday March 22nd after a period of declining health.  Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late George and Florence (Wallace) Haigh and wife of the late William J. Frank Jr.  Barbara was an avid seamstress most of her life until her retirement.  She was most proud of her time spent working for Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus creating costumes for the clowns. She loved to quilt, knit, crochet, and cross-stitch, making everything from heirloom quilts to crocheted doilies that she lovingly gave away.  Her hands were always busy.  She loved family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was most grateful for her extended family especially her special niece Susan who was more like a second daughter to her.

Mrs. Frank is survived by three children; Harry Alger and his wife Louise of New Milford, CT; David Alger and his wife Deanna of Roy, WA; and Judy Sauer and her husband David of Holliston, MA; six grandchildren; Christopher, Amanda, Bonnie, Jessica, Jacob, and Jared, seven great-grandchildren, Lilli, Logan, Mason, Noraleigh, Aiden, Abigail, and Maxton, three sisters, Florence Parker and her husband Ray of Hernando, FL; Dora Carr of Tewksbury, MA; and Shirley Wallace of Victorville, CA; and one brother, Herbert Haigh and his wife Peggy of Rochester, NH.  She was the sister to the late George, Wallace, and Robert Haigh.
