Astrid V. (Tucker) Snow 91 of Framingham passed away March 9th in Framingham. She was the wife of the late Norman L. Snow Sr. who died in 2003. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Dexter and Margaret (MacDonald) Tucker. She is survived by one brother: Dexter Tucker and his wife Muriel of Lancaster,PA. Three children: Norman Snow Jr. and his wife Janet of Framingham, Dexter Snow and his wife Debra of Grafton, NH. and Susan Guppy and her husband James of Moultonborough, NH. Eleven grandchildren. Nineteen great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Nancy Colcord, whose husband Richard lives in Penacook, NH. She was the sister of the late Dorothy McGill and Irma MacLeod. Astrid was a longtime member of the Wesley United Methodist Church of Framingham, and served in many capacities there (Sunday School Superintendent, United Methodist Women). She was an elected Framingham Town Meeting Member for 39 years, a devoted Girl Scout leader, an original member of the Framingham Heart Study, a member of her local Lions Club, active at the Meals-on-Wheels program, prayer shawl ministry and making lap robes for Veterans. She loved making arts and crafts projects including: chair caning, knitting, crocheting, needle point, cross-stitch, vegetable gardening and canning. She shared her talents by teaching others her skills. Astrid loved to bake her special pies and put on suppers for various organizations- always serving the community. A memorial service will be held in the Wesley United Methodist Church, Beacon St., Framingham on Saturday morning, March 15th at 10:00 am. There are no calling hours and arrangements are under the direction of the Matarese Funeral Home in Ashland, Ma.
