Obituary

Arthur D. Stefanini, 78 of Framingham passed away September 7, 2007 in Framingham surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Florence (Piso) Stefanini and they had been married 40 years. Born in Framingham he was the son of the late Antonio and Noemi (Cattani) Stefanini and he was a lifelong resident. After graduating from Framingham High School and serving his country during the Korean Conflict, he worked as an apprentice electrician and later rose to positions of foreman estimator and project manager with J.E.Guertin Electric Company of Framingham. In his 45 years of service he worked on major construction projects throughout Massachusetts and the United States. He was a member of the IBEW Local 103 Electrical Union. He was a former Treasurer and active member of the Columbus Hall in Framingham for over 60 years, a 50 year member of the Eagles Club in Framingham and an avid golfer. He was active in local golfing and bowling leagues. He loved coin collecting, gardening, and traveling to the Cape and Foxwoods. He is survived by one son: Charles Stefanini and his wife Kathy of Framingham; two grandchildren, Ben and Carly both of Framingham; one brother, Edward Stefanini of Worcester and twenty nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Peter Stefanini who was killed in Italy during WWII 1944 and Augusto Stefanini who died in 1994. A funeral Mass will be said on Tuesday morning September 11, 2007 in St. Tarcisius Church on Waverly Street in Framingham at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the St. Tarcisius Cemetery in Framingham. Calling hours will be held on Monday evening from 5-8 p.m. in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to The Aleks Puumala Support Fund c/o Middlesex Savings bank P.O.Box 358 Natick, MA 01760.
