Arthur W. Davidson, 86, of Framingham passed away Thursday May 7th surrounded by family. He was the husband of the late Phyllis (Pasquale) Davidson who died in 2010. Mr. Davidson worked as a pipe fitter with General Motors for many years retiring in 1990. He served his country honorably with the Marine Corps during the end of WWII. He is survived by two children; Arthur P. Davidson, sports editor of the Metrowest and Milford News, and Patricia L. Davidson, a partner in the law firm Mirick O'Connell of Worcester, as well as father in law to Howard J. Caplan, Director of Staff Development for the Massachusetts Office of Medicaid. In addition, he leaves two nieces, Judy Malone Neville and Virginia Malone, both of Newton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 12th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Parish, 54 Esty St. in Ashland with burial to follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery in Framingham. Calling hours will be held Monday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jeremiah's Inn, P.O.
