Antonio "Tony" Morazzini, 77, of Ashland passed away April 23rd. Born in Southborough, he was the son of the late Antonio and Bertha (Giombetti) Morazzini, and the husband of Cathrene (Lang) Morazzini. Tony spent twenty five happy years in the US Navy traveling extensively in Britain, Europe, and Asia. Later he worked at Fenwal Corp. in Ashland and lastly with the Ashland School Department. He liked woodworking, working around his yard, and going fishing. He especially enjoyed time with his friends at the coffee shop. Besides his wife he is survived by one son: Jim of Hamburg, NY; his daughter: Janet of Oakland, Maine; two grandchildren: Caitlin and Joshua Morazzini of NY; his two nieces: Virginia DesMarais and her husband Walter of Ashland, and Lorraine Gentili of Fredericksburg, VA; one sister: Imperia Pacific of Marlboro, and many more nieces and nephews in the Marlboro and Framingham area. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00pm in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St., Ashland. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the service.
