Antonio Carchedi, 69, of Ashland passed away Sat. March 14th at his home surrounded by his family after a long illness, which he faced with strength and courage. Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Francesco and Caterina (Sorrenti) Carchedi. He was the husband of Geraldine (Kenney) Carchedi for 46 years. Antonio worked as an automobile painter for Tom's Auto Body in Ashland for 19 years. He enjoyed working in his yard and especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren. The grandchildren knew him as their "Bumpy".

In addition to his wife, Antonio is survived by three children, Laurie Keating and her fiancé Christopher Corliss of Leominster, Christopher Carchedi and his wife Shayna of Colorado, and Michael Carchedi and his wife Kelly of Milford; five grandchildren, Jaxon, Christopher, Arya, Cruz, and Luca; two brothers, Vinny and Frank Carchedi, both of Wakefield, MA; and he was the brother of the late Carmelina Carchedi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be celebrated Friday Mar. 20th at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4:00–7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home.
