Anne (Clarke) Theodore, 81, of Framingham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, after a period of declining health. Raised in Newton, Massachusetts, Anne was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Dorothea (Streeper) Clarke. She was the devoted wife of Richard P. Theodore, with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage until his passing in 2020. Anne was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy was her family. She also enjoyed the Red Sox’s, Patriots and her beloved Martha’s Vineyard. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, warmth, her kind eyes and smile. She is survived by her four children: Dorothea A. Guertin of North Uxbridge, Karen A. Shea of Framingham, Elaine C. Kelley of Ashland, and Stephen E. Theodore of Watertown. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Joshua, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Jillian, Owen, Ethan, Abigail, and Michael, who brought her endless pride and happiness. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Anne's life on Saturday, November 14. Visiting hours will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland, MA. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with urn burial immediately afterward at Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity in Anne's memory. Tunnel To Towers or Metrowest Humane Society. These are two charities that were very meaningful. Anne's love, guidance, and generous spirit will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
