Anne M. Murphy, 93, Born in Middleboro, Massachusetts on September 24, 1915 to parents Joseph I. Roberts, and Annie A. Roberts. Anne had 3 older brothers (Joe, Robert, and Charles), 1 older sister (Eleanor), and is survived by 1 younger brother (John). All four bothers served in the military during World War II. For 12 years Anne worked for the Telephone Company in Boston and San Francisco, and later worked at Dennison Manufacturing in Framingham. She moved to Dorchester while in High School, and to Milton years later. Anne married Joseph L. Murphy in 1948, and after five years moved to Ashland, Massachusetts where they raised their family and lived for 44 years. Anne and Joe had 4 sons; Charles, Joseph Jr., Robert, and James. After raising their boys in Ashland, they moved to Millville, Massachusetts where they lived with James and his wife and children. After her husband died in 2006, Anne moved to Georgetown, Texas with James and his family. Anne remained very active until her death, in Texas, just 3 days short of her 94th birthday. Anne is survived by her four sons, 8 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson. Anne will be remembered for her warmth, love, generosity, strong religious principals, and dedication to her children and their families. She loved to read, play scrabble, do crossword puzzles, garden, and walk the dog. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 26th at 9:00 am at St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland with burial to follow in Milton Cemetery.
