Anne Elizabeth Ferrucci, 86, of Ashland, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026. Born in Cambridge, Massachhusetts, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Joseph Ferrucci and Grace DeSimone Ferrucci of Framingham.
Anne graduated from Ursuline Academy in Boston and earned her B.A. from Temple University in Philadelphia. She completed graduate coursework at the University of Cincinnati and attained certifications in the insurance and accounting fields. She worked in medical administration at Kettering Memorial and Sycamore Hospitals and later as an accounting assistant at the Mead Corporation, all in the Dayton, Ohio, area.
Anne was a devout Roman Catholic and, in 1992, at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Centerville, Ohio, was received into the Carmelite order as a tertiary, taking the name in religion Sister Catherine Grace, T.O. Carm. After living in the Dayton, Ohio, area for more than 25 years, she moved back to Massachusetts in 1995. Her final profession and vows as a third order Carmelite were made in 1996 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Framingham. Anne was a member of both St. Cecilia's Parish in Ashland, and St. John's the Evangelist's parish in Hopkinton.
Anne was part of Our Lady's Rosary Makers mission of Louisville, Kentucky. She made and distributed several thousand Rosaries over the span of 30 years. She had her own private mission to send fifty Rosaries to a Catholic Parish in each state which she called Rosary America. She succeeded in sending them to 48 states before passing away. Her other charitable work included crocheting baby blankets for newborns in local hospitals.
Anne loved traveling to Cape Cod and Wells, Maine, and was an avid painter of the beauty she saw. She also enjoyed reading and playing the piano. One of her favorite places was the Wayside Inn, Sudbury.
Anne is survived by her four children: Terry Anderson; Scyld Anderson and spouse Juyong Pae of Columbus, Ohio; Seth Anderson of Arlington, Massachusetts; Tobias Anderson of Ashland, Massachusetts; and one adopted son: Dag Abram Anderson of Geneva, Ohio. Anne was also the mother of Rose Bottazzi, (daughter - deceased). Anne is additionally survived by her brother Dr. Joseph Ferrucci, Jr., her sister Carolyn Ferrucci, and two grandchildren: Antony Ferrucci and Elias Anderson, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services are private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: the Friends of the Ashland Council on Aging , the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth , or the Ursuline Academy .
