Obituary

Anna "Nina" (Tullio) Cortesi 100 years old passed away in Framingham on June 11th at the Carlyle House in Framingham after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Secondo Cortesi who passed away in 2000. Born in Fayville,MA the daughter of the late Angelo and Narducci (Ricci) Tullio. She was a lifelong resident of Framingham. She worked in retail at Gorwin's and Alpens in Framingham. She was a loving caring person who cared deeply for all of her family and friends and she will be missed greatly by all. A special thank you to Carlyle House for their care and compassion. She is survived by two grandsons: Christopher Salak of Houston, TX and Sean Salak of Austin, TX. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Irene Tullio of Milford, MA and her son-in-law John Hubby of The Woodlands, TX. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews as well as several great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Kathleen A. (Salak) Hubby who died in 2003. She was also predeceased by her sisters Carmella Shea and Edith Nightengale, and brothers; Joseph, Armando and Ernest Tullio. A funeral Mass will be said on Saturday morning June 14th in St. Tarcisius Church in Framingham at 10:00am with interment to follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery in Framingham. There will be one hour of calling hours prior to the Mass in the Matarese Funeral Home 325 Main St. Ashland,MA. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of ones choice.
