Andrew J . Talvy, of Ashland , passed away peacefully on November 21, 2017. Born November 10, 1933 to the late Armano and Mary ( Paviloni ) Talvy of Natick, Andrew was the loving spouse to Ruth (Dunham) Talvy for 60 years. He was an owner of Talvy Florist of Ashland for 58 years and Andy's Trucking of Ashland for 50 years. He was a former president of the Ashland Kiwanis Club, a lifetime member of the Ashland Lions Club as well as a Melvin Jones Award recipient and was honored as Ashland Citizen of the Y ear in 1990 .

He is survived by his sons, David Talvy and his wife Tammie, and Andrew D . Talvy and his wife Barbara, both from Ashland; H e is also survived by his three grandchildren, Holly Antanavica and her husband Marc of Cherry Valley, Andrew D . Talvy Jr . and his partner Robert Morse of Westborough, and Brian Talvy and his wife Tiarrah of Hopkinton; and also two great-granddaughters Sophia and Clara Antanavica. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Hilda Talvy of Natick and many nieces and nephews.

Andrew is predeceased by his siblings: Ramon Talvy, Rose Grassey, and Eugene Talvy all from Natick.

When Andy was not working at the flower shop, he enjoyed spending time at his house on Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonborough, NH with his family and dog. He also enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Patriots, and tending to his vegetable garden.

Family and friends will honor and remember Andy's life by gathering for calling hours on November 27, 2017 between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM at Matarese Funeral Home at 325 Main Street in Ashland.
