Andrea "Andrew" Stucchi, 85, of Ashland passed away on Thursday, Sept. 1st after a period of declining health, surrounded by his three children. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Lorenzo and Anna (Geroni) Stucchi. Mr. Stucchi was raised in Italy and returned to the United States in 1949 and then 1966 to raise a family. He was the husband of the late Edda (Saputi) Stucchi of Campli, Italy. He attended the Univ. of Massachusetts and Babson College and was employed at Natick Labs and the National Guard retiring in 1996. Mr. Stucchi served his country honorably with the US Marines from 1957-1966 and the USMC Reserves until 1974. He later served in the Army National Guard from 1977-1992. He enjoyed making his own wine and tending to his vegetable garden.

Mr. Stucchi is survived by one sister; Rosa Stucchi of Teramo, Italy; three children; Anne "Geri" Morazzini and her husband Gary of Ashland; Monica Phillips and her husband Thomas of Hopedale; and Lawrence Stucchi and his wife Jill of Westborough; seven grandchildren; Michelle, Amanda, and Dominic Morazzini, Edda and Jackson Phillips, and Samantha and Erika Stucchi; and three great-grandchildren; Isabella, Brayden, and Joshua Morazzini.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Sept. 8th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. in Ashland. Burial will take place in Italy. Calling hours will be held Wed. from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the E.N.
