Ana Maria Ferdaus, 65, of Ashland, MA passed away Monday Sept. 16 ^th at her home surrounded by family. Born in Cape Verde, she was the daughter of Alberto and Maria Monteiro. Ana was the wife of Showket Matin Ferdaus. A graduate of Boston College, Ana worked as a social worker for the Dept. of Transitional Assistance in Massachusetts where she devoted her career to helping under privileged children.

Ana was a devoted mother of two children that she fiercely loved, Farhad Matin Ferdaus and Rezwan Matin Ferdaus.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday Sept. 18 ^th at 10:00am in St. Tarcisius Church, 560 Waverly St. Framingham, MA. Burial will take place in Long Island, NY at a later date. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168 please specify in honor of Ana Maria Ferdaus.
