Obituary

Amalia E. (Bossi) Berry, 88, of Ashland, passed away January 1, 2013 after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late John Berry who died in 2005. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Stephano and America Bossi. A long time resident of Ashland, she graduated from Ashland High School Class of 1942 and later worked at Telechron and also the Framingham Union Hospital (MetroWest Medical Center). Mrs. Berry is survived by her children: Barbara Galluzzo and her friend Raymond Cook of New Haven, Vermont and Cynthia Berry and friend James Condon of Framingham. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Stephen Galluzzo, Kim Galluzzo-Wozniak and her husband Mike, David Galluzzo and his wife Karen, and Alyson and Jason Diaz; great-grandchildren: Christopher, Andrew, Skye, Michael, Adrianna, Madison, and Charlize; three sisters in law: Caroline Pessini, Mary Castignetti and Rena Nicoli; one brother in law, Paul Berry and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband and her two sisters, Louisa and Louise Berry. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Cecilia's Church, Esty Street, Ashland on Monday at 9 AM with interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Ashland. Calling hours will be held from the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland on Sunday from 3-5 PM.
