Alice Claudia Pearson, 88, of Ashland, formerly of Lowell, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at Oak Knoll Nursing Home in Framingham. She was the wife of the late Wally Pearson. In 1946, Mr. and Mrs. Pearson began Wally's Restaurant, which became an icon in Ashland until 1984. A longtime resident of Ashland, she also ran Darcher, her daughter's boutique for many years. She leaves her daughter, Janice Smith, and her husband, Walter, of Holliston; her son, Leonard Pearson and his wife, Roseni, of Ashland; her granddaughters Darlene, Cheryl, Lisa, Christina and Kelly; her grandsons Alfred, Thomas, Scott and Shawn; her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Christopher, Madison, Kyle, Idrissa, Aidara and Sienna; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Alfred Pearson. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Matarese Chapel in Ashland. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Matarese Funeral Home in Ashland.
