Alan H. Temple, 78, of Ashland, passed away, Thursday, April 30th at his home in Ashland. Born in Wellesley, he was the son of the late Alton and Alice (Hill) Temple and husband of Sylvia A. Temple. They were married 53 years. Alan was a graduate of Wellesley High School, Wentworth Institute, and later Northeastern University, where he received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Mr. Temple worked for 30 years with Honeywell Co. as an engineer. A resident of Ashland for 51 years, he enjoyed gardening, travel, & birding. Alan served his country honorably with the Marine Corps during the Korean War. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons; Mark A. Temple and his wife Cathy of Northbridge, and Jeffrey A. Temple and his wife Jill of Ashland; one step-daughter, Charlene Fruchter and her husband Robert of Tiberon, CA; four grandchildren; Corinne and her husband Justin, Christopher, Ross, and Madison; one brother, Arnold Temple and his wife Janet of Natick, and many nieces and nephews.
