Chris Beaton, 50 of Ashland passed away Mon. Dec. 17th after a long battle with cancer with his family by his side. He was the son of Rosalie (Cioffi) Beaton and the late Archie Beaton. Chris was the husband of Carolyn (Mis) Beaton for 20 years. Mr. Beaton was a devoted teacher and school administrator, starting his career as shop teacher and later an engineering teacher with the Ashland High School before serving as the Vice Principal of Tri County Regional Vocational Technical High School in Franklin. In addition to his teaching, he coached Ashland Girls Youth Soccer, Girls Volleyball, Boys Tennis, and Boys Ice Hockey. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, camping with his family, and working on his classic car, a 1969 Cougar.

In addition to his wife and mother, Chris is survived by two daughters, Olivia and Charlotte of Ashland, sister, Dawn Taddeo of Ashland, and many extended family and friends.

A funeral Mass will be held Friday Dec. 21st at 9:00am in St. Bridget Parish, 830 Worcester Rd. Framingham, MA. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 3:00-8:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland.

Chris would often purchase school supplies on his own for his students and classrooms, in lieu of flowers please consider donating a school supply item in his memory. A collection box will be located at the funeral home during calling hours and at the Beaton household.
