Biography

Edgar W. Hunt, III; 58, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, July 11th surrounded by family. Born in Framingham, he was a lifelong resident of Ashland and worked as a tradesman in construction. Mr. Hunt served with the US Air Force and was a member of the American Legion James O’ Carey Post 77 in Ashland.
He is survived by one son, Daniel C. Hunt of Hopkinton; one granddaughter, Caylee Hunt of Foxboro; one brother, William Hunt of Ashland; and three sisters; Judith Detoma, Louise Hunt, and Caroline Tohey, all of Framingham.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland. A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
