Matarese Funeral Home and Cremation Service, independently owned and operated, has been serving Ashland, Massachusetts and the surrounding communities for over 25 years. It was established in 1971 by John Matarese, a licensed funeral director. He is a graduate of New England Institute of Anatomy and Mortuary Sciences and has been employed in the funeral industry for over 35 years. Recently, he was joined by his son, John Matarese, Jr., also a licensed funeral director. John, Jr. is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Lynn University with an Associates degree in Funeral Service. The two, along with their staff, are committed to providing compassionate, personal service.
